BREAK-IN PERIOD
Dogs come in many shapes and sizes, which is why we custom-make every dog brace. For each brace, there is a break-in period so your pet and their skin to get used to wearing the brace. During the break-in period, remember to keep brace sessions brief. You will slowly increase the duration in which your dog wears the brace, with most families building up to wearing the brace all day. The brace is removed every night.
GENERAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Follow the proper fit and care instructions to ensure it’s comfortable and functional. Your dog’s brace should be powdered daily with cornstarch or non-medicated baby powder.
All of our braces are made with durable, high-quality materials. Your dog’s brace can be cleaned with warm water and mild soap. To remove dog hair from the velcro, use a wire brush and brush in one direction on the hook portion only.
Always inspect your brace for signs of wear. Over time, the straps and padding may need to be replaced.
We’re here to help you every step of the way.
