Creating a Device
Welcome to My Pet's Brace! We design and build state-of-the-art leg braces for dogs and other animals. We also provide prosthetics for pets and deliver them to your furry family member in a compassionate and professional manner. We guarantee that working with us will be a no-hassle, successful and enjoyable experience that will result in more function and greater mobility for your pet.
Our dog leg braces and prosthetics are custom-made uniquely for your pet to fit comfortably, increase function and last a long time. As we design and build your pet's device, and for as long as you need us afterwards, we will be here to answer questions, provide information and resolve any concerns you may have.
Our simple method is based on a team effort. We believe that the most successful clinical outcome for your pet results from a team effort. The team that is dedicated to your pet's full recovery includes you and the rest of the pet's family, your veterinarian and rehab specialist and our practitioners at My Pet's Brace.
Our process starts with a diagnosis. To begin the process, an appointment is made to take a cast or model of your dog's leg. If you are not located in close proximity to our clinic, the location for the casting event will be the vet's office. However, we encourage veterinarians to refer their clients (the pet's family) directly to our patient-care facility in Morgantown, Pennsylvania or Knoxville, Tennessee if the client lives within driving distance. The completed cast is then used to fabricate the brace or prosthesis in our facility in Morgantown.
A second appointment is scheduled for the fitting and delivery of the leg brace. Most final modifications made to achieve an ideal fit can be accomplished at this time. The fitting and delivery typically takes place in the same location where the casting occurred.
We also offer expedited service for emergencies or if accelerated fabrication is desired. My Pet's Brace will guide you through these steps and answer any questions you may have.
