Case Study: In February of 2020, Emmie injured her leg running. Her veterinarian diagnosed her with a torn cranial cruciate ligament in her right hind leg. Three years prior, Emmie had torn her left CCL and underwent TPLO surgery.

Due to her more senior age and having a mast cell tumor removed the month before, her family decided to pursue a custom knee brace for her right CCL injury instead of surgery. Emmie visited our facility for the casting of her leg and the completed brace was shipped to her one week later.

Emmie diligently wore her knee brace for nine months during her waking hours and was under restricted activity for the first two months. She currently no longer wears the brace.
