Success at the 2015 CVC DC
My Pet’s Brace recently participated in the 2015 CVC DC where we exhibited helpful solutions to veterinary professionals. At the show
we spoke with many new attendees, as well as current My Pet’s Brace network professionals about the benefits of our custom-made veterinary orthopedic braces and prosthetics. For stifle (knee) braces we highlighted the benefits when they are used as an alternative to surgery AND when used in pre and post-surgical applications.
We enjoyed catching up with Valley Central, VOSM, Red Bank Veterinary Hospital and Metropolitan Emergency Animal Clinic among others. We were gratified to learn from several veterinarians that our two-week turnaround time was substantially faster than they were currently receiving from our competitors. Several individuals also spoke with us about patient-specific cases and their own personal pets. It was wonderful to be able to chat about the options available to improve their pets' lives.
What is the CVC DC? The CVC holds trade shows in three major locations across America including, D.C., Kansas City and San Diego to provide veterinary professionals continuing education and networking opportunities.
At the show, we frequently discussed amputation. In our industry we often see amputations done at the shoulder or hip. When amputations can be done lower on the limb, leaving 2 to 3 inches below the elbow or knee, a prosthetic device can often be fitted and when we can work with a patient face-to-face we are more than happy to evaluate for a prosthesis.
We had the opportunity to have in depth discussions with a few of our suppliers such Woodrow Wear the producer of Power Paws Dog Socks and got to know more about others in our industry such as DVM Multimedia. As we often do, we located our booth next to our friends at Eddies Wheels for Pets, a producer of top quality mobility carts for animals, and we enjoyed catching up on industry news and working alongside them. It is always a pleasure to spend time with Ed, Leslie, and Chris.
The CVC DC was exceptional. To be able to listen to veterinary professionals from as far away as Australia as well as from California to the East Coast discuss how veterinary orthotics and prosthetics could help their practices was gratifying. It was a pleasure to explain how we are “Helping Pets Live Happier Lives.”
