My Pet's Brace provides custom orthotic and prosthetic solutions for front and hind leg injuries in dogs and other animals. Our popular stifle or knee braces are an effective solution for ACL/CCL injuries in dogs and they are a successful alternative when surgery is not an option due to
- Advanced age of the pet
- Concerns about the surgery recovery period
- Desire for conservative management
- Concerns about funding the surgery
In addition to knee (stifle) braces we also provide custom-made orthotic braces for the ankle (hock and tarsal), wrist (carpal) and elbow joints as well as prosthetics when sufficient residual limb is available. See our Product Reference Guide for more information about our braces and the etiologies for which they can be applied.
Our prosthetic designs have capitalized on the recent significant advancements in materials and we are introducing them to the veterinary industry. A prosthesis or artificial limb can be a good solution when body weight or activity level necessitates the need for additional support and increased function. To allow for adequate suspension of the device, a minimum of two to three inches of residual limb below the elbow or knee is needed and because a very exact or intimate fit is required we need to see the patient in our clinic in Morgantown, Pennsylvania.
At My Pet's Brace we also proudly offer Eddie's Wheels mobility carts. Mobility carts (also known as pet wheelchairs) are most often used when the patient has lost or is losing the use of one or more of its legs.
